Two Lamborghini Super Trofeo drivers embrace in celebration after Race 1 at Paul Ricard

Three Straight Wins for Postiglione and Cecotto at Paul Ricard

Imperiale Racing extends a streak that began with a sweep at Silverstone.

Vito Postiglione and Jonathan Cecotto won Race 1 at Paul Ricard during the third round of the 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, their third consecutive victory on identical Huracán hardware.

The lap-eight overtake that decided the race

Postiglione sat behind pole-sitter Loris Spinelli for seven laps before exploiting the variant section before the Signes curve, the one realistic overtaking zone at Paul Ricard, to take a lead Cecotto would hold through the second stint.

Championship stakes heading into Race 2

Closest PRO rivals Raphael Abbate and Yuki Nemoto finished only sixth in Race 1, but Nemoto was set to start Race 2 from pole position with both the grid slot and the motivation to tighten the title fight.
